The Crescent is one of Bluffton’s newest gated communities, conveniently located about 10 minutes from the Hilton Head Island bridge amid grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping centers. It’s a gorgeous neighborhood with wide expanses of beautifully kept golfing green spreading along either side of the main road all the way to the golf club, where the pool, pool house, and tennis courts are also located. The Crescent is small in acreage but feels much larger when you’re driving through; homes are well-spaced and the entire area is breezy with clean, quiet air.
Like most of the area’s plantation neighborhoods, property owners can access amenities like tennis and golf, and have the option to purchase memberships to the golf club. The Crescent covers about 540 acres and features a stretch of the Colleton River as well as the rolling hills, shimmering lagoons, and lush greenery of South Carolina’s Lowcountry.
Property owners have the option to purchase memberships at the Crescent Pointe Golf Club or pay daily fees to play on the course. The gorgeous clubhouse located in the middle of The Crescent’s amenities is open to residents and includes a pro shop, a grill, a meeting room, and spacious outdoor sitting areas. Nearby are the recreational facilities, including the swimming pool and fitness center, also open for residents and their guests.
Arnold Palmer’s signature golf course at The Crescent is one of the best public courses in the area and features water views on three holes. Built in 2000 on Bermuda grass, the course has water hazards, putting greens, practice bunkers, and golf cart rentals for its 18-hole spread.
The fitness center and large swimming pool lie adjacent to clean, smooth tennis courts.
