Rose Hill Plantation is about a ten-minute drive from Hilton Head Island. The community is massive, and split into two sides of Highway 278: the Country Club side containing the golf courses and the Estates side with the equestrian center and Colleton River as well as many of the larger estate homes. Though Rose Hill has three golf courses, the premium equestrian center is one of its main attractions.
The community is one of the area’s largest at approximately 2,000 acres, and has something for everyone. Rose Hill stands out from other plantations because it caters to Hilton Head Island golf enthusiasts while also offering a quiet, calm, and private living environment. The community has two security gates, the North and the South.
The estate community contains about 10 miles of nature trails perfect for horseback riding, polo fields (a local favorite!), and a community swimming pool. The golf side contains, of course, the 27 holes of golf and the clubhouse as well as other swimming and tennis facilities. Both sides of Rose Hill Plantation are welcome to all of the community’s swimming, golf, tennis, boating, and equestrian facilities.
Rose Hill Plantation’s Country Club side has three nine-hole golf courses: the East, the West, and the South. The courses were built in 1982 and designed by Gene Hamm.
